3 Ideas you may not have thought of to make the most of your video investment.

Last week, I was sitting in a room, lights dim, showing a client the video we created for their business.

After the music faded and the video stopped, there was applause and “oh my gosh that was so good!”

But after a few minutes reflecting on the video, the story, how it captured the heart of their businesses in ways they weren’t even expecting, someone said,

“So, what can we do with this video (besides post to their website and share on social media)?”

Meaning, how could the impact of this video be maximized?

Usually, I defer to the marketing person on the team.

But because I believe this is an important question to consider, let’s pretend that this person just took a bite of a delicious cookie. And I had to say something to fill the silence.

From my purely intuitive, non-marketing background, I might suggest these 3 unique ways to use a high-quality video to grow your business (whatever that looks like for you).

  1. Company Culture
Incorporate the video into your company culture. Have a staff retreat coming up? Staff appreciation luncheon? New staff onboarding? When every person in your company can watch a video and remember why you do what you do, it can be a huge motivator for everyone!

  2. Customer Experience
Let’s say you create some really great product explainer videos that you’ve got on your website and YouTube channel. You’ve got a new customer who hasn’t seen your social media accounts to find those great videos. You can help that client understand your product or service more by incorporating those videos in your “client onboarding” process.

  3. High-Profile Client Meetings
Have you ever faced the awkwardness of trying to pitch to important people who didn’t quite get what you did, or weren’t fully on board with your product or service yet? When meeting with a high-profile client, including video can be hugely impactful in your proposal or sales meeting.

Finally!

Video that makes an impact.

Video is powerful.

There are so many types of videos you can create for your business.

Get clear on what problems a video (or series of videos) could solve for you. More sales? better customer education? better audience engagement?

Then let’s talk about how we can create a video that will grow your business!
