How do you tell a story that isn’t done yet? For Blair, she has been a midwife for 10 years, and she plans to continue in midwifery for many years to come. So why tell her story now?

Because this story is not just about her, we are telling this story to encourage other hospitals to support the midwifery model of care, believing that telling this story has the power to create positive change, so that the midwives who come after her don’t have to face the same challenges that she did.

Our story framework resolves any paint points for the client. With Blair, we met together and outlined her journey in midwifery, the challenges, about her hopes starting out, and about how she overcame those challenges to get to where she is today. We interviewed friends and patients at her beautiful home in North Knoxville, and interviewed fellow midwives and a doctor at the hospital where she works.

It was so easy to turn Blair's bedroom into the backdrop of her interview that felt personal, warm, and beautiful. We swapped out a mirror for a piece of art, and added some plants for balance.
